Friday was our only sea day on this leg of the cruise. Of course, I am fighting a cold. So I decided not to swim as I really do not feel that great. Lots of coughing and I would only spread it to others.
Had a light breakfast after Bob came down from his swim. Seems we were sitting in a "dead" zone. It took a while for us to get coffee and hot water for me. We are now allowed to serve ourselves at the buffet but you do need the staff to serve the coffee, tea, ice water, etc. Seems they were busy clearing plates and resetting the tables to worry about us. I finally was able to flag Ivan down and he took care of us.
I finally made an appointment to get my pedicure. Hated to go with this cold but I was in desperate need. The nail girl is from Poland. Very nice young lady. She is the only nail person so today she was really busy. On sea days, lots of spa treatments are booked.
Had lunch in Compass Rose and then a nap for Bob and I did some knitting. Front and back of the sweater are complete and now working on the first sleeve. Also doing the needlepoint belt.
Did not play any games today as they were all up on the sports deck and I do not like to be in the sun that long.
Tonight was the Seven Seas Society party. This is a cocktail party for those guests who have sailed with Regent before. That is just about the entire ship. So we skip it. And have our cocktails in Mariner Lounge. Dinner tonight is in Prime 7.
Dinner was good. I started with a half of the lettuce wedge salad and Bob had shrimp cocktail. Then we both had the seafood platter which is a small plate offering. One half lobster tail, two crab legs, and one scallop. All very good. And we skipped dessert.
Turned in early as I do not feel that great.
