Buenos Aires Day Three in Pictures - Second Visit to Punta del Estes

Thought I would post the pictures from yesterday as today we did not get off the ship.

We got up early and went up to La Veranda for a light breakfast.  Then we waited for an hour and headed up to the pool to do one hour of exercises.  Had the pool to ourselves the entire time.  There were some people sitting on the deck sunning but no one came into the pool.  A couple did enter the hot tub but that was all.   But it was early and lots of the people were on tour.

Back to the suite to work on the Daily Quiz.  Bob edited the pictures.  So I will include them here.

We rode the bus around the city.  Lots of tall buildings.

New buildings and old ones.  The old ones have lots of character.

This is Monday morning traffic.  Big difference from yesterday.

This building is the Teabo Colon.  Not sure what it is used for.

Again, the Obolisk.  Notice I am sitting in the front of the bus under the roof.  Trying to stay out of the sun.

The Obolisk has this written on it.

We stopped at Plaza of Mayo.  Some of the buildings here at the plaza.

More views of the Plaza de Mayo.

Another view of Plaza de Mayo.

And this monument in the center of the plaza.

Another view of the Cathedral.  We still do not think it looks like a Cathedral from the outside.

The dome of the Cathedral.  You finally can see the cross on the top.

I stayed on the bus and rode to the gas station.  Bob was not sure the same bus would come back to pick him up, but we did.

This is one of the government buildings.  It is called Casa Rosada.  Not sure what it is used for but has a lot of security around it.

This is our bus.  This was the last time we saw it.

This area is named Caminito.  Lots of colorful buildings.

This mural is on the side of one of the buildings.  It is in 3-D and features the volunteer firemen.

The rest of our day was quiet.

Forgot to mention, we have a new Captain.  And it is the first women for Regent Cruises.  She is from Italy and appears to be fully qualified.  We met her yesterday.

Dressed for dinner and cocktails in Mariner Lounge.  Then dinner at Compass Rose.
